Gregory Conner

Rob’s step-son
Gregory started his career in Junior League at Rudes Lanes and Prairie Lanes.
In 1996 he won the all around championship for the Madison Area junior Bowlers Association, the Bob Minter-Roger Kasper Memorial Award, for being the most over his average for the tournament. His Team, Rob Bailey’s Pro Shop, also won the “E” Division that year. Team members were Nate Taylor, Jeff Chase, Joseph Yelk, Nic Carlson, and Gregory Conner.

He has worked in the Pro-Shop since 1996, and is a certified RBPS Ball driller, measurer, and layout specialist.

He is a good bowler in his own right, having high finishes in the MBA tournament, finishing as high as 2nd in All Events in 2005 with a 2101 scratch total, and is Rob’s doubles partner in MBA tournaments and State Tournament. He has had 290’s and 11 in a row, but is still looking for his first 300 game. He started bowling in the ABC/USBC tournament in 2002.

He is married to Marci and they live in Columbus, and are expecting "Little G" in May!  That will make me a Grandpa!

Susie Bailey

Steve Parkinson

Helping in the Pro-Shop since 2006, Steve is a good bowler and bowls in the NFL League
and the American Family League.  He just had his 2nd 300 this fall.

Dave Shaw

Graduate of the Dick Ritger Bowling School
A Director of the Madison Bowling Association since 2002
Married to Diane
Dave also bowls regularly in area and state scratch tournaments and the USBC National tournament.

Dave has now completed his RBPS Ball Drilling, Layout, and measuring degree to be certified as a ball driller in the Pro-Shop, joining Gregory Conner and Rob.

Bill Leidich

Helps with lessons and marketing. Former PBA member and inducted into the MBA Hall of Fame.  Recently, he and Rob won the MBA Doubles Title with a 1531 scratch score, breaking the previous record of 1497.  He bowled 769, carrying Rob with only a 762!

Gary Strand

Helps with lessons and is also a former PBA member and inducted into MBA Hall of Fame.  He spends a lot of time out on the lanes helping customers along with Bill Leidich.  He is our only "movie star" as he recently "starred" in the court room scene in the movie "Public Enemy".  Look for him to the left of the guy standing in front talking.

David Inselman

Machine and Equipment Maintenance. He did most of the rebuilding on the bowling machines and helped with the install.

Past Staff:

James Bailey

Formerly a PBA Regional member and a top bowler in the MBA (and Rob’s brother) lives close by.  He used to be an integral part of the Pro-shop, but he, along with his wife, Magdalena, are ANC’s top consulting team. Their business is Bailey Consulting, LLC.  He sub's in the Whenever League and occasionally stops over to see old bowling friends.

Joel Carlson

Now of Omaha, NE, helped out in the Pro-Shop from 1986 until 2002 and now has a home pro-shop set up. Joel continues to bowl on the RBPS #1 team at USBC. Joel was an outstanding bowler in the Madison area for 15 years having won many tournaments. He and Rob won 2 scratch City Doubles events in the Madison Association.  He is also a PBA member and honed his game at Rob Bailey’s Lanes over the years.
